What Customers Say About Clan of the Nakagamis (Yaoi):

Tokio agrees. The story suffers a bit from being a bit too complicated and messy at times. They say that it has been casual thus far, but they want to take it farther. The story opens up with an introduction of the math teacher, Mr.

One of the enjoyable features is seeing how Tokio and Haruka scramble in the midst of a "romantic" moment to adopt outlandish positions to make it appear that they were not in the middle of nearly kissing or doing some other task (the farthest the image shows is them preparing to kiss, or them on top of each other, however most of them end in that panel)The art design is amazing and works well. Environments are heavily detailed, the Nakagami mansion looks nearly true to life, and the characters all look near realistic. Exploring the dynamics of a male teacher and a male student in a love type relationship, the book works wonders at making readers laugh. Because they are trying to keep their relationship a secret, Tokio has told his family that his student, Haruka, is coming over to get some help in mathematics, a subject that Haruka is failing in. It would not be a surprise for most readers to reread several portions multiple times in order to get a full understanding.

Exposing members of the Nakagami family here would ruin the fun of the story but they are all quite interesting. Haruka asks Tokio if he can come over his house and "play.". Ultimately, Haruka is introduced to the Nakagami family. Haruka and Tokio are both interesting characters, the Nakagami family adds tons of hilarious moments to it, and it is light hearted enough to make most everyone laugh.

Clan of the Nakagamis is simply put, a hilarious romance. The story has been separated into "episodes" it seems like, however, the episode names are kind of weird, and the organization seems like a mess. Fortunately the story flows well from each to each. The characters are a huge highlight of the story as well. Moments that are sweet are romantic usually have the traditional "flare" to them with the flowers and stars and "starish" type feeling. This is never really explained but it is a point that is driven hard in the story and sometimes gets in the way of the relationship. I suggest it for everyone to read, simply for those dynamics.Pros-Read in the Traditional format(Read Right to Left)-Jacket design on the cover looks great-Fantastic artwork-Great cast of characters-Modern-English sounding translation-Romantic ComedyCons-Story is messy in places-Ends in a cliffhanger-Girly CoverExtrasThe extras consist of several side stories that have nothing to do with the Nakagamis. Tokio Nakagami (25 years old) and the student Haruka Iijima having a discussion about their relationship.

In fact, one could say that they are just three different stories that could potentially continue in the second book. It is quite funny for the entire family are massive Tokio "fans". The rest of the manga explores the family as they seek to see just how far Tokio and Haruka are willing to go to keep their relationship undercover. And fortunately the male characters do not look like they could pose as females. All in all this is a great start for the series and there are high hopes for it to continue. -Clan of the Nakagamis: Character Design Notes-Telepathy-The Travails of a Struggling Assistant Detective (short story)-Thief X Thief (short story)-Going To Oikawa-Kun's House (short story)-Afterward by Homerun Ken

The pair only gets to kiss and participant in some mild foreplay. The Nakagamis themselves are extremely entertaining. The entire work is mainly focused on how the Nakagamis interfere with the relationship between its youngest member, Tokio, and his boyfriend/student Iijima. The writing is amazing and the stories are fun to read over and over again. The cute mundane scenes are endearing. All in all, this work is mostly a bold shounen-ai title.

The bizarre situations and on goings of the entire family are amusing and deeply entertaining. Yes, it seems slightly corny, but author plays it off amazingly well. The pages seem to fly by. By the end of the work you really do wish that there is a second volume. Clan of the Nakagamis is quite appropriately titled. While the role themselves are quite stereotypical, the author proves just how well he/she (With a name like Homerun Ken I'm not sure). writes.

The surprising lack of school activities is a wonderful departure from the typical student-teacher pairing. The only thing that is lacking from this work are actual sex scenes. The uke/teacher Tokio is cute and fills in stereotypical role of a girly uke. They range from parents that seem to never age, a grandfather who looks like he is 14 (and LOVES to drink), a stalker for a brother, and another brother that enjoys flipping between male and female personas. There is nothing explicit for hardcore yaoi fans.

As for the yaoi couple themselves. The seme/student Iijima fills in the stereotypical role of a manly seme who just can't get enough of his lover. However, despite this lacking in a yaoi title, the writing so good that I have to recommend it. This is one of my favorites.

No, this was a nice read about a rather balanced relationship. And I mean truly consensual love. Finally, a book with consensual love. But more so, it was also incredibly funny. None of that, off balance romance where one is deeply dedicated into the relationship and the other is not. Or even worse, where one is the ultimate "man" who seems to overpower his partner (sometimes to the point of.ugh.rape). From the moment I met the characters of the Nakagami clan, it was an all out laugh vest for me. It's a little unrealistic and the characters have very feminine features, but all in all, my only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner.

Homerun Ken's art is always beautiful, but the heart of this title is actually the humor. It's adorably sweet and silly, the family is a riot, and the main couple are just a joy to watch.I know most of her other stuff is angsty, but I would buy anything done by this mangaka in a heartbeat.

I felt it revolved more around comedy than the relationship between the two main characters. This book was very fun to read. The pace was fast and there was never a dull moment. The cover is very decieving, but sets the mood for the serious mindset of all characters involved. (they are funny with out meaning to be)Its just another day in the life of the Nakagami's
